This luxury Limited Edition travel Jewellery case has been individually hand crafted using selected matched real burr wood veneer and artisan construction techniques, to retain the definition and colour hues from the original photographic plates and images 15 layers of hand applied lacquers and hours of hand polishing are used to achieve a near perfect rendition of these Historic Golfing references.
Presented on this heirloom quality presentation case is a scene of a ‘Ladies Golf Day c. 1915’.
This wonderful image shows six ladies completing their scorecards at the end of a golf match. The overall winner on the day would have most probably won a solid silver button which at that time was a tradition in prize giving for women.
They are wearing the latest fashions from the early part of the 20th century which covered them from head to toe and must have restricted movement considerably, hats too were considered to be an essential fashion requisite when playing golf. Today there is a growing interest in collecting women’s antique silver golf related hat pins from this period.
